El intendente de Maldonado dispuso una serie de movimientos en cargos de confianza de distintas direcciones, a partir de la renuncia presentada por varios funcionarios.
En las próximas horas la policía haría públicas varias fotografías de la yegua que la madrugada del sábado provocó un accidente de tránsito fatal en avenida Aparicio Saravia. La yegua de color oscuro no tiene marca, y se procura saber quien es su propietario.
En la pasada jornada, el Partido Independiente presentó 9 medidas urgentes para atender la crisis que atraviesa la educación uruguaya y que, a su entender, están por encima de las discusiones interpartidaria. La presentación de la batería de medidas, tiene como objetivo informar sobre la estrategia del PI para las próximas elecciones internas.
Otro accidente de tránsito fatal se produjo poco antes de la hora 11.30 de hoy en la ciudad de Maldonado, en el que perdió la vida una joven de 27 años. Hay alarma por la seguidilla de accidentes fatales, ya que totalizan 4 las víctimas en solamente 6 días. La joven viajaba en un ciclomotor y fue atropellada por un ómnibus del transporte urbano en barrio Rivera.
Tras más de 12 horas de mucha tensión e incertidumbre, el jaguar que se había logrado salir de su jaula en la Reserva de Fauna del Cerro Pan de Azúcar, retornó a su guarida sobre la hora 22.00 del sábado. Ahora investigan porque apareció roto el tejido de la jaula donde se aloja el animal.

Los dirigentes del Partido Colorado, Juan Pígola, el doctor Alejo Fernández Chavez y Francisco Sanabria, emitieron un comunicado, donde solicitan nuevamente el tratamiento del proyecto de ley referido al traslado del establecimiento carcelario de las Rosas. Indican que la venta del actual predio sería beneficiosa para los principales centros poblados del departamento, y daría recursos para la construcción del nuevo establecimiento de reclusión.
